Larry, I'm so sorry this happened to you. I dream of living in a country where you would have been fully free to be who you are. Someday, we'll get there.

I am really sorry that this happened to Larry. I just wanted to let you know that he is remembered and thought of at Lincoln High School. On Friday, April 25th, 2008 we held an event called Pink Tsunami. It was in memory of Larry King, and I just wanted to tell you that he was in all of our hearts that day.

Ive never heard about this, but coming from the mouth of a 14 year old, that's sad. Right now I know people who are homosexual, but never do I put them down. What those kids did were cruel, and good thing authorities took control, and I will keep you guys in my prayers, every prayer counts even if it helps a little. God Bless

A child lost his life because the other child did not agree that he should live anymore, replaying this in my head just makes me so sad inside. Recently my churched sent around a petiton and needless to say I DID NOT sign that petition, my parents asked me if I was gay for not signing the petition and they got on me a lot but the reason I did not sign that petition is because of this very little boy who deserved so much out of life and in one day that was all taken from him. It is said that everything happens for a reason and may his leaving us bring us closer together as brothers and sisters.

Growing up in a Baptist family I have grown to know that being gay is against the bible and being gay is abdnormal. I never felt right about any of that, gay is not a life style it is not who you are, gay doe not define you as a person. Being gay or having a sexual prefrence should not decide whether or not you go to heaven or hell or whether you should live or die. The boy that took Larry's life, my heart goes out to because this kind of hatered he did not pick up all by himself but he was taught this and this says a lot about our society in itself. I researched a lot about Larry because I wanted to hear more, it was like I needed to because I felt so disgusted inside, not knowing what to do, to stop this hatered that goes around, and then I watch Ellen Degenerous' show and saw what she had to say, now i'm not gay, but with everything that came out of Ellen's mouth it gave me inspiration and showed me as a new voter what I should be voting for and why.

To Larry's family and friends, I extend my very sincere and deepest sympathy. How can something like this still be happening in a country that the world looks up to, admires and aspires to be like? And what a loss of a life - just beginning to be realised and then suddenly cut short by an act of senseless and stupid violence. What is it that the boy who perpetrated this violence feared? Was he too gay? Had his upbringing so subverted his sense of his own self worth that the only way to validate himself was to lash out at what he does not understand? I am sad for him too! But saddest for Larry's family! May whatever powers you hold sacred bring you comfort and ease the pain you must feel now. It will slowly fade with time, but never leave you - if only to remind you of what a wonderful boy you raised. Take care of yourselves, and all the gay and straight kids out there - we all have our place in this wide world!
