My heart goes out to Larry's family. I'm still in shock that this even happened. I'm praying for you.

I'm sorry about the loss of Larry.
It's sad to see we still have prejudice in 2008. where I work thats all the people focus on if some is different from them.. one guy went as far as saying he could not get promoted because the manager is gay... truth is that supervisor who wanted to get promoted should have step up and left his ignorance at the door. May mother and father god shed light on the blind and hateful.

It is sad that it took such a tragedy for someone to sit up and take notice.
my school is not a big one, there are a few gays, lesbians, and bi's at my school and, all though I don't know of any of them being physically harmed, that is not to say that they are not mentally abused.
a girl on my volleyball team is bi. when two of our team mates found out, they spread a rumor that she was watching the other girls change in the locker room. they called her names. this girl is the kindest person I know. they made her cry. i went to the coach. she had a talk with the two girls and they were kicked off the team for what they did. but they were back on in a week or two. it is time that things like this stop.

i jsut read about Larry's story not long ago. its a shame what happpened, and especially at a young age. kids now a days dont respect gays/lesbians and i dont understand why. i recently found out my best friend was bi and that didnt change one bit how i felt towards him, hes still my best friend.
but my prayers go out to larry's family. i hope they are doing ok

There's nothing I or anyone else can say to help ease the pain you must be feeling. I'm so deeply sorry for your loss, and it's just terrible that now 2 familes are runied over something like this. Just know that on the Day of Silence, I'll be thinking of your son.

I am deeply saddend my this. I send out my deepest sympathy to his family and friends. I personally do not know Larry, but I admire him for his courage. His courage is giving me the courage to be myself. Lawrence has given me the strength to be open about my own sexuality with out thinking twice about it. Lawrence, your courage is high and NO ONE will ever kill that. The person that committed so a terrible and outrageous crime should understand that karma does come around. As sad as this is, maybe this will show the country the real side of what GLBT tweens, adults and children are faced with, and why the say of silence is used. I WILL keep Larry in my thoughts and prayers on the day of silence.
To his family, I want to send my greatest apologizes and my deepest sympathy to you. Your son has touched my heart. I will remember him, when someone is being hateful, about me and my secual orientation.

This is so sad that something like this has happened again. My love goesout to everyone who knew Lawrence or who has been a member of glbt youth that has experience any harrasment like this. I truly hope one day this will all change.

I am infuriated by the fact that I didn't hear about this story until some "hater" in Minneapolis decided to write about it in our local newspaper and our GLBT equal rights group fought back and put him in his 'place.'
I cry for the loss of such a young innocent life, I cry for the intolerance this country now has, I cry because my children will have to grow up amongst children like the one who took it upon himself to take Lawrence's life.
I am gay, I am having a family, I hope that I can promote love for all amongst my children and all they come into contact with.
You will be missed Lawrence, the world will not be the same without you!
