I am utterly devestated by this!!! I have children around that age. I have taken the time to sit them down, read Larry's story and speak to them about just how evil predjudice is! He did not die in vain; but his loss is way too soon and beyond tragic. My and my children's sorrow and thoughts are with your family.

My heart aches for the family and friends of this child, who has been lost to hate. It looks like Larry had some strong allies in some of those who befriended him, who have spoken of his character following his death. For those he has left - lessons of love, tolerance and acceptance of each other must come through. Rest peacefully, Larry.

I just read about this today and I am overcome with sadness for your loss, while at the same time I am inspired by this young man's courage and spirit. It is our loss that Larry is no longer with us.

May God bless you in your grief. My belief is that each soul is here to learn and to teach. When the stay on earth is brief, it is because a very evolved, ancient soul was born into a new body. Larry's time here was to teach us his special message. I beg everyone to listen and learn. With love, Adam Trey

This story touches my heart as I'm sure Larry touched the hearts of those who knew and loved him. My sympathies to his family and friends.

I can't even describe the absolute rage I felt as I read the story from my work desk yesterday. Like so many others, I have also been victimized and discriminated against for my sexual orientation. I pray that this boy, Larry King, will be a constant reminder and icon for the lack of "human rights" in this country...and the dire need to improve on this. I also pray for his obviously very loving family in every way imaginable and to thank them for sharing this wonderful tribute with all of us--I did not know Larry, but I'm sure he would have been impressed and felt very special...and rightfully so.
