I am so sorry for the loss of your son. Larry is with you every day. His spirit will live on forever. May God rest his soul.

I did not know you Larry but I know your soul is at peace with God. You will be remembered. I love your courage - your willingness to be authentic - to be yourself. Your death is a loss to all humanity and I only hope the tragedy will help this crazy world wake up. Perhaps your death will help those of us left here to remember we are all connected. I pray for your family and for the child who's ego caused him to take your life. May God help us learn from these tragic mistakes before it is too late.

I will continue to work toward educating students and teachers about acceptance and tolerance for LGBT people. I am deeply saddened by this event.

When I first saw a picture of Larry I thought to myself,my gosh he's just a baby. From what I've read and what I've seen, Larry was just as beautiful on the inside as he was on the outside. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire King family and with all those lives Larry has touched. May God hold him tenderly for all eternity.

I read about this terribly tragic story in people magazine. I showed my 11 year old son the story and made him read it to instill even more so what I have already instilled in him: accept people for who they are, embrace their individuality and consider yourself honored to be this individual's friend.

I'm sorry for your loss. I wish I knew what to say right now. It's difficult to express. My sincerest condolences.

Please accept my deepest condolences with respect to your loss. As an older gay man who has previously endured the many types of humiliation, fear, name calling and such while always looking over my shoulder, Larry's story that the Ellen Show portrayed brought it all back and made it real. I couldn't shut off the tears for days. It should hurt and bother us! Time, experience and wrongful human loss hasn't tought us much yet. However, maybe, just maybe, something good can come from Larry's passing where his unnecessary death can become a catalyst of acceptance, understanding, hope and support that is needed so very much at all levels throughout our country. It all has to count for something good. It just has to!

The photo gallery brought tears to my eyes. His story has touched many lives and will enlighten many more. My prayers are with the family.

My thoughts, prayers, and energy go out to the family and friends of Larry. May we all learn from this tragedy that individuality and uniqueness are gifts to be nutured and cherished!
In this world it is a shame that people with great courage and conviction can be killed and the event swept under a rug simply because they are UNIQUE.
