I am very saddened by this... California is so close and a month ago is too close and he is only a year younger than me... I am also gay and am shocked at the extreme hate and ignorance to differences that still happen.. May God take care of Larry who is one of the many who stand up and try to change this world...May many more stand up just like larry.

Larry, You are part of a long line of great people who stood up because you were gifted with the strength others didn't have to do so. We all need to reach down into ourselves and stand up for you and who we are and what we represent...and only then will the violence against LGBTQs finally stop. I dedicate to your short life what a great leader in equal rights left us one of his many legacies: Cesar E. Chavez said: “Once social change begins, it cannot be reversed. You cannot uneducate the person who has learned to read. You cannot humiliate the person who feels pride. You cannot oppress the people who are not afraid anymore.” May we always remember and pray for you. Que Dios te bendiga. Joe Husman, Ohio and California

People can be monsters and if we do not act on things like this then this world will never change we need to take action to solve problems.

I am so sorry for your loss. It breaks my heart to hear about these types of stories and although I did not know him, I'm sure Larry was a wonderful and caring kid who will be missed. In his memory, we should strive to do more for the equality of all people, regardless of race, creed, religion, or sexual orientation.

Bless his little heart, and may he rest peacefully. Why must children hate children who are different, i was different too when i was a kid, and it was hell, at least now he is no longer being tormented by cruelty. Goodbye
