As I watched the video of pictures of a beautiful child growing up, I saw that Larry was much like young members of my own family, and had been to many of the same places. My heart aches as I think of how hate has destroyed yet another life. I pray you find a way to let Larry help to fight hatred, educate our young to understand that it's ok to be different, and that being gay is not a choice, but a reality for many other scared and frightened young men and women. This incident only highten's their fear and makes them question their own being. God Bless Larry, God Bless His Family, and God Help The Young Man Who Committed this Crime!

This is such a tragic thing. Such a senseless, needless act of violence. I can't believe that in this time we live in that something like this could happen. I am so sorry to Larry's family for their loss. May you some day find peace.

Love comes in many shapes and forms; every person is human. It's sad that any human being can even think they are better than anyone or can make the choice to end someone's life because of who they are! My blessing are with the family!

I am truly sorry for your loss. It is a loss to everyone. For someone, anyone to be killed because of who they were. If you are his parents and reading this, please DO NOT blame yourself. You were great parents and it shows because your son was confomrtable enough with himself that he could dress the way he did, and he felt comfortable to ask this boy to be his date. It is incredible! EVERYONE should have the right to be comfortable in their own skin. Please anyone, do not hinder your child for finding who they are,or being who they are no matter what the cicumstance. Your job is to love support and protect them. AS WELL as teaching them to love people for who they are, not what they are, and to not HATE others. This was this other childs fault and the upbringing he had, that he felt it was ok to take another persons life because they made him uncomfortable or embarassed him. It is sad that our community expresses such disdain towards a group of people. My heart goes out to you

I would like to say that I am sorry for your loss. Even tho I never knew anything about Larry nor did I know him. But what I have read and seen about Larry he seemed to be a very kind and sweet boy. I think to prevent this from happing agian they need to teach children at a young age about sexual orientation because this is always going be an issue somewhere. If I lived in town where this was a problem I would def. stand up for what is right. Im sorry im just rambling on. Im so sorry for you loss. God Bless
