It is so terribly sad the world wasn't able to see the beauty in you. God has a plan for all of us and I'm sure that He is now giving you all the love and acceptance you didn't have in this cruel and intolerant world. Rest in peace Larry.

My heart aches for what this young boy went through, day after day....What a torture to have to endure such harassment from bullys day after day....I know because it happened to me....I cried when I read his story and cried more when looking at the video...May God take care of him and cradle him in his arms......

I'm so sorry for your loss. Sadly, I heard about your son on the "Ellen" show - I should have heard about it on the news or in the paper or from other people who had heard about it because it was important and people thought everyone should know. There is no justice in a world where our children believe that they can solve problems through violence. The loss of your son in the world means one less soul who can comfort another, love another, help another and live out the brilliance of his path. Bless you all. My heart is with you.

I read the article about Lawrence this morning in the Sacramento and was saddened and appalled. The violence in our nations schools is disheartening. My prayers go out to the family and friends of young King. May God bless you as you seek to cope with this tragedy. God Bless, Amarachi

I have just called my daughter in to my room to read the article in todays Sacramento Bee in reagards to Lawrence King. I find it so terribly upsetting to see that children today are still hurting each other with words and then go to drastic measures and begin killing each other. I try daily to explain to my children that there will always be someone in the world that's differnt from them and how to deal with it. It seems that the young man that killed Lawrence was not educated on differences in the world and how to adapt to change. Lawrence deserved a chance to live his life just like everyone else. I praise his family for adapting to the life he choose for himself and I pray every day that our children grow up in a world that they can be heard, acknowledge and loved for who they are and who they will eventually become. My love goes out to the family and to all of Lawrence's classmates. They will all need our love and support to make it through this horrific act.

I'm so sorry about Larry....he's everyone's child really. Teaching children about respect for others is everyone's responsibility. I hope Larry's family feel the prayers. God be with you.

Such a terrible loss... words cannot convey the sadness I feel for Larry's family and friends. What a courageous young man for his coming out... and what a cowardly, uneducated, intolerant young man for taking his life. Who are they who raise children who do not see that love comes in all shapes and sizes and all the colours of the rainbow. Life, and love, is not black, yellow, red, or white. It is not straight or gay, man or woman. We do not exist in a vacuum. Celebrate our differences, and rejoice in our similiarities. May you be like the butterfly, Lawrence. Elizabeth

My most sincere condolences. Another life taken away so cruelly, without reason. When will it stop? People need to wake up NOW and realise that people are different - gay, straight, black, white, male, female, transgendered. Difference is not something we should punish. It's something we NEED to celebrate, and discrimination NEEDS to be challenged in order for this to happen. You are never alone.
