There are no words to express how I felt as I heard Ellen tell this story this morning on her show. My heart breaks for you. I pray for your family. My son is gay and I so know how you feel. I worry everyday. I hope that you know you are not alone, we are here for you to help you through this very sad time. Please take care, we have you in our thoughts and prayers.

It's very difficult to remind myself that I must love those who hate. This is the message of Jesus that was understood by Martin Luther King.

I could not imagine the pain you are going through for your loss of your angel. I just heard about this horrible news and felt the need to reach out and let you know that my prayers and blessings are with all of you. I didnt know Larry, but by looking at his pictures, he just looks like he was full of love with a beautiful smile, angelic face and warm spirit. God be with you and take care.

I cried today for you larry. Also for a society who raises children to hate. To Larry's parents: God is love, and he is the ONLY ONE who can get you through this!! Lean on HIM!! I will be praying for your family.

As someone whose best friend is openly gay, I was struck by the news of Larry's needless murder. It is clear that schools need to implement a more diverse learning techniques, so that crimes like this can be prevented in the future. My heartfelt prayers go out to Larry's family and friends, and to all others who were affected by this tragedy
