There is yet another guest book with messages from people at www.legacy.com VenturaCountyStar/GB/GuestbookView.aspx PersonID=103768791 Please take the time to visit and sign that book as well. There are a lot more messages from many more people sharing thoughts and emotions. I am sorry to say I never knew Larry but I feel this connection to him mostly due to the fact that I have 6 children of my own, 4 of which range in age from 14 to 17 and are all in a local Oxnard school. This was just far too close to home. I have a feeling due to this incident that I never even thought I might have before this occurred. I am so saddened at the fact that this poor innocent child’s life on earth was ripped away at such a young age. This is truly a tragedy. This is nothing even I will get over any time soon. My thoughts and prayers are with all those who are feeling pain because of this tragedy. May Larry rest his poor sweet innocent soul in heaven. Jim Wilson, jawilson@reliant.com

I am deeply saddened by the tragic loss of this young man. He will be missed by myself and many like me who could have had our lives enriched by just knowing him. He will be in our hearts for the rest of our lives.

I send my prayers to the King Family and all who knew and loved Larry. As a middle school teacher myself, I couldn't imagine this horrible situation happening to any of my students. My condolence also go out to his teachers. We must teach tolerance and kindness to our kids. School should be a safe place to help the kids find out who they are and enhance their lives with knowledge and ispiration. This has rocked my world. I am still trying to come to terms with the ripple effect this has caused. Larry has touched so many lives and his existence will help the world to open its eyes. My heart is heavy, I will never forget him. Larry, "The world was never meant for one as beautiful as you"....Rest in eternal peace.....

I am so sorry that this happened to someone so young, but I am sure he is in a better place with G-d. May G-d bless him, and in rememberence of Larry let this never happen at a school again.

first off i would like to say my prayers go out to the king family and especially to the mother. i did not know you but i knew your son. i knew your son since Hathaway. i wish i could say that the pain of losing a child will go away but unfortunately there will always be that empty space. our world is seriously disturbed but a innocent child should never be robbed of their life because of it. all of the situations like this one should have been a wake up call but if they weren't, hopefully this one is. We really need to look at ourselves as a society and as people. for the child that did this my prayers are with you to. not only did you robbed a child from his future. you also robbed yourself of yours. i do not blame you. after all who do children learn right from wrong. i love you larry fobes king. but you are not gone. you live within each pure and innocent child as well as your mothers heart. God bless. love the shirley family. by the way.... you were hilarious.
