This story is the saddest I've ever heard. I am 16 now and I'm from Portugal. Homophobia is everywhere, not just in USA. It's horrible what people say and what they think. No one chooses to be gay. Larry just wanted to be accepted, he just wanted to be loved, he just wanted to be happy. And he loved Brandon. How's that even possible? I am so sorry. Humans say that they believe in God and that being gay is wrong. Murdering someone, murdering an innocent kid...that is wrong. And whoever uses religion to attack gay people is just being a coward. God does not hate anyone. God is LOVE. And although I did not knew you, I love you Larry. And I love your parents. And I am so sorry for what you've suffered.

Friday is the Day of Silence. I promise to help to keep his memory alive and to work for the tolerance and civil rights of the GLBT community. May G-d continue to protect Larry and his family. "O Lord, grant that this night we may sleep in peace. And that in the morning our awakening may also be in peace. May our daytime be cloaked in your peace. Protect us and inspire us to think and act only out of love.Keep far from us all evil; may our paths be free from all obstacles from when we go out until we return home." Remember,Never again.

ive knows about your death for some time now.. it was march of '08 i think i heard about what happened from gslen. they sent me an email about it. i was devastated that someone would even think of doing something like that to someone else. regardless. i held a day of silence the next day in memory of you. now im in 10th grade doing a presentation about homophobic bullying. im dedicating the entire presentation to you. never knew you dude, but i wish your family well. love you dude. - aaron guzman/inuyashafreak64

My Wife and are a Lesbian couple and we stand behind you and your family. I didn'y know you while you were here but I can promise you I will do my best to make people aware so no one has to go through these things you did. You were amazing at being who you truly are! I did not know you personally but I Love You sooo Very Much! You are the type of person the world needs more of. I wish thinkgs would have been different but I know you are still with us, deep in our hearts! Stay with each and every one of us while we figure out a way to make people realize hate is not the way! I'm sorry for not writing this sooner...I'm sorry that you had to pay for someone else's ignorance...but you were a very strong person for what you did...although I did not know you, you left a major mark on my life as well as many others...and I thank you for that...I don't think of you as being gone...I think of you as being free and in a better place...with no violence, no hate, and no worry...I hope your story has changed many people for the better...and I send your family my regards...I hope to see you in another life or another world and I'll keep trying to change the world because of stories like yours...rest in peace...bye larry
