I am so sorry for your loss. What an obscene injustice to lose a child, much less for such a senseless reason. My heart goes out to you.

My name is Brittany, I am a mother of 3 children. 8,5, and 2. This story really hits me hard because of many many reasons. But i would just like to say that it took another tragedy for me to stumble onto this story. Phoebe Prince 2010 bullied suicide. I would just like to thank every family that is struck by tragedy, we all mourn the loss, even though its not ours, know that our hearts are with you. And continue to tell your story, it is an education for everyone out there. God bless.

Larry's death horrified me. It reminded me how vulnerable we are to hate and how much people still need to learn. It pushed me to fight for what is right and settle for nothing less. No child deserves to die. Every child and every human being deserves to be free.

i am not gay, but all the same i am disgusted by the amount of prejudice the gay community suffers. this is soo horrible, that poor boy. i imagine how much courage it took for him to come out at 15 and tell another boy you like him. its hard enough when youre straight. RIP Larry. You'll be remembered and hopefully this will inspire people to change

My name is Richard Warren and I am a 22 year old gay man. I heard about what happened to Larry a couple weeks after his murder in 2008. His murder impacted me greatly for a couple of reasons, first because of his age and second because of the very innocent and sweet act he committed that lead to his death. I could not and still cannot understand how this could happen to such an innocent child who was just expressing his care for another person. I have shed so many tears for this beautiful soul that was lost because of hate and pray for his loved ones always. I live in Palm Beach County, Florida and was honored with the privilege of carrying his picture in the parade at the Lake Worth Pridefest yesterday. Above his picture were the words "my hero" and that is what Larry is to me, my hero. I carry Larry in my heart always.

My name is David and Im teh Pres of my schools Gay Straight Alliance. This story makes me soo outraged. I cried the first time I watched his story on youtube. I vow as long as I live I will bare memory to this angel who was cut down before he had a chance to do great things. Rest in dear peace beloved one.

I wish we could have done more to make you safe in this world and so very sad we failed you. I will try harder to make this a safe world for us all. RIP Larry

It makes me so freaking mad that people can do such a thing just because they are insecure about their OWN sexual orientation. It's pathetic and it makes me feel deeply bad inside for the loss of Lawrence at such a tender age. Why won't people accept LGBTQ's for who they are? They are human beings, have rights to express themselves sexually like any heterosexual can. I long for the day when straight people and gay people will live in peace, and no gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgender will live in fear and denial of their perfectly human feelings.
