Dear Dawn & Gregory ~ I have buried both of my sons my first born @ 5 and my second son @ 20. I too know the pain and loss. I pray you have faith, family & friends to help you through this tragedy. Larry is at peace now with God and is waiting to be reunited with you when it is your time. May he never be forgotten. We as parents need to teach our children to accept people for who they are and to not judge. It is not our place to judge, there is not one of us who are perfect, but we are all beautiful in our own way. It is sad that a child was taught such hatred, it has taken one life and ruined many. Please people stop being prejudicial and learn to except. Teach you children to live and let live. God Bless.

"Be honest to yourself and to others", they use to say, but to me it seems impossible in a world that isn't honest to itself. Although Larry was honest to himself and to others, the boy who took his life couldn't handle the truth. The killer will be punished, but there is no punishment big enough to undo this fact. The ones who are punished for life is Larry and his entire family. Although there is no comfort in this, I do hope that you can give Larry's death a place some day. Best to you all. With love, Roy

Whomever this young person was or wasn't, he was a child of God and HE WAS LOVED. He deserved to have the same respect anyone else should have. He had worth and weight in this world simply because he was God's creation. Not a single human has the right to judge another or take another's life because they don't like who you are or what you believe in. Such a terrible tradgedy...very, very sad. Take rest in the Lord's arms Larry. You were, and are, forever loved.

I read this article when checking my aol email earlier tonight and it broke my heart to hear about this terrible tragedy.my prayers Go out to Larry's family and friends.i lost a very special friend of mine a few years ago because people were so discriminating against his sexuality and it was Too much for him so he took his life and it hurts so much to lose someone special but they will always be with us in heaven as our gaurdian angels and i wish i would have known Larry he sounds like a wonderful kid and its a shame that this tragedy occured. once again my thoughts and prayers go out to the family and anyone who has lost a loved one to hate crimes etc. ~God Bless all of you~

Today God, you've taken away a person that many of us loved dearly. Now our lives will be changed forever and that is a burden we all will have to bear. All we ask is that you take good care of him because now he is in your hands. and to help those of us still here to understand

Dear Larry and the King Family, I am so sorry to read this story and hear about the loss of your beautiful son. My prayers go out to you and hope that parents can see how tolerance should be taught in the home. There was no need for your son to die and I hope he is smiling and happy in heaven.
