At our small highschool we did DAY OF SILENCE for Larry. None of us even knew him but at least 75% of our tiny schools population wore tags on our shirts that read; silence for Lawrence King...and the tags went on to say that the silence was for anti-LGBT (lesbian, gay, blisexual, and transexual) bullying, namecalling, and harassment. The day was not only to make people aware of what goes on in schools due to children and teens coming out freely, but on our tags the DOS was for Larry. i just want his family and friends to know that they have our support and i personally am more than sorry to hear that this happened. i am furious to think that someone actually had the nerve. but it is true that Larry is not gone. i will remember him. i have the DAY OF SILENCE tag taped to my bedroom wall, because, like Larry, i stand up for what i believe in. and being a bisexual girl that is something that i DEFINETELY believe in! Larry lives on in my heart! ♥

I AM REALLY SORRY ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED. I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS HAPPENED IN SCHOOL. SCHOOL IS SUPPOSED TO BE A SAFE PLACE FOR CHILDREN. HE IS AN ANGEL NOW, HE IS IN A BETTER PLACE WITH GOD. THERE ARE NO PREJUDICES IN HEAVEN. REST IN PEACE BEAUTIFUL LITTLE ANGEL.

I read about this on the web yesterday at work. I pray that God will keep your family in His arms. This should have never happened to Larry. Even though he only was on this earth a short will he will never be forgotten.

I just read this story in Newsweek Magazine. I couldn't believe it, I feel so sad for this boy's family. I understand children are different and express themselves in different ways but the actions that were taken on this young man are horrific! You don't take a gun to school and shoot another living person b/c you feel teased or threatened by them!! I am sorry, but I hope that boy is tried as an adult and I hope that the family and friends of Larry can find peace. I believe he is in a happier place now.

I came across Larry's story only yesterday, in MSN.
I am deeply saddened by the kind of violence that actually happen in a school, a place where a kid is supposed to feel loved, safe and secure.
I pray for Larry soul. I am sure he is in a better place right now.
I really admire his courage. He stood up for what he believed in.
Larry you will always live in our hearts.
